[SOLVED] menu - administration, all white with no icons.

Hello everyone, I installed Zorin 6 mode (x nodeset) I installed nvidia-current, and then I did all the updates. Using visualization windows 7 and xp can not see the icons inside the administration menu. Using gnome everything is ok.

Until the Nvidia driver thing is fixed, I simply right clicked on the Z button, clicked preferences, and under the Menu Selection box there is a pull-down menu for what you want it to look like when you click the Z button. Yours is set to default "Zorin OS". Pull down menu and switch it to "Zorin OS Box" instead, you should at least get your Administration menu back.

1. Right click blue Z-globe.
2. Select Edit.
3. Locate Administration
(it is under Applications > System Tools > Administration)

4. Uncheck NVIDIA X Server Settings.

If this is checked, then the Administration menu shows up blank.
If it is NOT checked, then the menu should go back to normal.

how on earth did you work that one out. I just tried it myself, so simple but the mind boggles!!.

This is a GREAT help, thanks for this tip! I have been looking for my Update Manager for a while now, lol!

I really hope they get this Nvidia thing fixed soon. It's the only thing holding up my full embrace of Zorin 6 Ultimate!
