I've spent the whole day trying to install this controller using the method that you gave me but it still won't work.
Some of the steps won't work because I'm missing some files. What should I do?

320Gb HDD / 1Gb memory
b43-fwcutter wifi/ bluetooth card unknown both internal
Easy peasy 1.6 OS

Hi,

if you know the name of the missing packages; you can get them from here:

http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages

Is Easy Peasy still supported and why are you asking about EP on this forum??.

I don't know quarry packages to get and this is the only please that knows what they are doing.
I'm sorry for asking you for help with a different OS but I really need your help.
The fact that I'm able to use my computer is because of your help before and every other place I went to for help made my problem (s) worst.
Thank you again

Hi,

I cannot help as the link I posted earlier is all I have for you, I don't have a PS3 controller myself.

If you make a note of the missing packages, you might be able to fix your problem, have you tried updating the system fully:

Hi,

try installing it again and look at the warning message about "missing pacakges or dependencies", it should have the exact name of the package you need, write them down and search the link I posted earlier for them!!.

Hi,

I really cannot help much apart from what I have already posted, you can try with the following commands first:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-joystick

Then let us know what happens!!.

See also:

http://www.pabr.org/sixlinux/sixlinux.en.html

you can also try installing the packages "bluetooth" (bluetooth support) and " blueman" (bluetooth GUI) if you don't already have them installed:

sudo apt-get install bluetooth blueman

I cannot say whether or not this will help you!!.
