LAMP, Port 80 ... blocked?

So, I decided to setup a small home server and maybe run Wordpress or something small. Nothing fancy or dramatic. According to localhost, the mysql, apache and php server things all work fine. But when I visit the sub-domain that I had set up ... it stalls out ... I am wondering if port 80 isn't being blocked by my ISP.

If so, how do I get my web server to listen on a different port? How to set the sub-domain ( set up through http://freedns.afraid.org/ ) to find the new connection?

Thank you kindly everyone.

Thank you.
The FTP one may be of some use, but none of the pages listed really explain how to port forward or set the LAMP webserver to listen on a different port other than 80 or how to set up my sub-domain to point to the new address. ( To get around the Port 80 block )
