System Backup Suggestions

Just wondering what Zorin users are using to backup their systems. When I speak of backup, I mean a system backup where the operating system is installed as well as all the programs installed on your hard drive just in case you have a hard drive failure or you installed something that completely ruins your system. Having a backup can save you lots of time compared to re-installing the system from the beginning and installing all you favorite applications back on your machine.

Also, I have always kept DATA (i.e. documents, music, pictures, etc.) on its own hard drive and/or partition; so I have different ways of backing this kind of data and performing this kind of backup is not as complex as a system backup.

Currently, I am using Clonzilla. I have used Clonzilla to do a hard drive image backup and have done a successful restore. Next, I am trying just backing up the partition that has Zorin OS installed on it. The backup was successful; however, I have not had a chance to do a restore of my partition backup which is my next step.

Ok, so what are you using to backup your system??

Hi spavilla

This is my preferred backup tool it's easy to use and has always worked for me.

http://redobackup.org/
More Features, Less Complex
Redo Backup has the most features coupled with the simplest, most user-friendly interface:

Easy graphical user interface boots from CD in less than a minute
No installation needed; runs from a CD-ROM or a USB stick
Saves and restores Windows and Linux machines
Automatically finds local network shares
Access your files even if you can't log in
Recover deleted pictures, documents, and other files
Internet access with a full-featured browser to download drivers
Live CD download size is only about 200MB
Over 600,000 downloads

Thanks for the suggestion Auldyin, I have tried Redobackup. It has a nice graphical user interface and is very easy to use.
Clonezilla is my personal preference at this time.

It is always wise to have some sort of backup plan.
