When I go to update Zorin (417 which is ridiculous!) something came up asking me to keep or replace it, it doesn't matter which one I choose because this error is what the update manager is stuck on.
Try the dpkg method.
1. Plug an ethernet cable on your PC to get internet (not wifi).
2. Reboot and from the grub menu choose the recovery mode (usually 2nd option).
3. From the new menu choose first the "network" option and reply "yes" to the question (so as to enable your network). Then choose "dpkg" and let it run. This will update your system and fic broken packages (if any).
4. After all is finished reboot and see if all is ok.
