pgp and saving keys

Hi guys,

It's easy to create PGP key and export it but what if I want to save my key in other location ? I had one pgp key that I used to encrypt emails than my system crashed and I lost it. I need to know where pgp key is stored so.that I can copy it into safe place. Could you advise ?
