[SOLVED] Play on Linux

So... now that I have fixed the issue with my screen I need to find out how to run my game :-)

The game is Swarm Assault by MKing

If I set "i915.modeset=0" in the GRUB config file my PC thinks it's a laptop and I get weird screen resolutions but my game works fine. I then need to set "i915.modeset=1", restart, then reset my resolution for things to look normal again (all very time consuming).

If I try and run the game with "i915.modeset=1", PlayOnLinux just crashes.

The question is "Is there a way I can set PlayOnLinux to set "i915.modeset=0" whilst I play the game then set it back to "i915.modeset=1" when I finish?

Or is there another way around this?

Yeah I played around with some WINE settings to do with resolution but nothing worked.

Btw,

did you install the package "mono-complete" ??.

It gives you "Net framework" support under Linux.

Hi Swarfendor437,

Tried the tweak, no difference.

Hi Wolfman,

Yeah had a bit of a look, tried a couple of things, no good.

I might just have to buy a new video card I guess :-(

Hi Muz,

another suggestion is to change the download location of your system sources and see if that helps, update your system again once you have changed the download location.
