why does a firewall not come pre enabled in zorin6
i still dont realy know if we have to have one in linux ,and if so what are rules how do we write commands , in windows it gives you options when you have to change things, i know this is not windows but its hard to get your head round when thy say linux is safe then make it bloody hard to protect your self ,not that i have ever had or don't think i have been compromised

So does mine but don't worry open a terminal and copy/paste this
- Code:
sudo ufw status
And it will give you the status.

My status for the Firewall also said, "ACTIVE," so I have to assume it is, even though when I open the FIREWALL from System Tools, it is OFF, and I also can not get it to stay on. So ACTIVE I assume in the terminal is ACTIVE. Was concerned because I installed, ClamTK reading that that is our program for Anti Virus scans, and I am presently doing a RECURSIVE SCAN, which scans all FILE/FOLDERS, and in the PREFERENCES I checked anything that there was to check>>LOL. And so far at only about 4% complete, it has detected over 122 items. But IMO it is BULL because these are mostly file/folders copied over from Windows upon installation, and I just did an Avast Boot time and Malwarebytes scan on the Windows side this afternoon and it was 100% clean (Netbook)
