For the longest time I was trying to connect to a network, it is a university network. After some research I was able to get it to work, for a day. The day after I got it to work the connection dropped on me and now I can't reconnect. It just keeps asking me to verify my log in information. Can anyone help me figure this out? It cant be a network card problem because it worked once before. Also it can't be an network problem because able to connect via my smartphone's browser and chrome on windows 7. My laptop is a Sony Vaio VPCF136FM. I would also like to note that I am new to linux so please keep this in mind.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

if you know the SSID and password from the network you are trying to connect to, you should be able to save it and connect automatically.

Right click the network icon and "Edit Connections" > Wireless > Edit > then highlight the connection you want to use (there may be more than one if you have used others in the past) and make sure it is ticked for all users and connect automatically, you need to make sure that the password you are using is correct as well as the security type.

I have already tried to edit my connections so that it would connect automatically. But it led to the same issue.

How do I rename by Zorin box?

The title says "wifi dropped". Is your wifi working? Or not?
Your problem is with the wifi connection or that you are unable to get connected into the university network?

Please report back the outcome of the following commands
Code:
lspsi
lsusb
sudo lshw -c network
sudo rfkill list all
