I have loaded MMC onto computer and had trouble with it so i reloaded with the latest version and it is now showing in sound and video file
when i try to run it it will not run nothing happens,
when i right click on it it gives me a few options one is open as administrator if i do this it works , why will it only run as administrator, its very annoying
any one help many thanks :?:

Hi David,

how did you install it, if you used Synaptic, right click the package "mmediac" and select it for re-installation, if you installed it as a 3rd party package, right click the desktop icon and go to permissions and check that you do have read/write privileges!!.

Have you tried Arista Transcoder http://www.transcoder.org/ ?. It's the one I use does an excellent job for me. Version 0.9.6 is in the Software Centre. I'm using version 0.9.7 downloadable from the web site.
