(UNRESOLVED) shift keys not working

shift keys not working.

nothing happen when i press them.
i tired all kind of keyboard layouts.

my old laptop is a compaq evo n1020v.

Hi,

have you checked in System Settings > Keyboard Layouts > Layouts and make sure that you have the correct layout listed.

i dont have that kind of menu. i am using zorin lite.
start/system tool/

i have dual boot , i will install the firmware and come back.

Sorry but I don't use LXDE myself and don't really know what else to suggest.

i have the same problem when i boot XP so it is a hardware or firmware problem.

maybe it is time for a new keyboard, they don't cost the earth!!.
