Upgrading to windows 8

Hello,

i installed Zorin side by side with windows 7.
does upgrading windows 7 to windows 8 damage Zorin boot, and if it do so, is there a way to solve this?

Hi,

use "Boot Repair" to recover GRUB, it is a very good tool:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1895

You can simply boot into Zorin and open a terminal and enter:

sudo update-grub

which should also repair it, if you install Windows after Linux, it will always overwrite the MBR (Master Boot Record).
