software center problem

Iam trying to uniostall some programes that i no longer or ever used in Zorin
i have gone to software center to uninstall them i get a message at says "waiting for apt-get to exit"
and is stuck there this is new i have uninsulated programs this way before with no trouble

it came right after a restart lol, if in doubt restart computer (kick it in the guts)
