How do you get the logon and logoff sounds to work?
Checked Ubuntu Tweak and everything looks ok there.

I do not believe I've heard any of the following sound effects below:

/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/alarm-clock-elapsed.oga
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/bell.wav
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/button-pressed.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/button-toggle-off.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/button-toggle-on.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/camera-shutter.oga
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/desktop-login.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/desktop-logout.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/device-added.oga
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/device-removed.oga
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/dialog-error.oga
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/dialog-information.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/dialog-question.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/dialog-warning.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/message-new-email.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/message-new-instant.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/message.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/phone-incoming-call.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/phone-outgoing-busy.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/screen-capture.oga
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/service-login.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/service-logout.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/success.ogg
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/suspend-error.oga
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/system-ready.wav
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/trash-empty.oga
/usr/share/sounds/zorin_os/stereo/window-slide.ogg

Is there anything in dconf Editor I need to setup??
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

At the bottom of the GUI that comes up you will see that sound scheme is set to 'none' - from the drop-down box, selece 'default'. You can't get an 'exit' sound I believe. I think the only DE that had an exit on shut-down sound was KDE 2/3+ running ALSA! :D

Thanks for your response. I was just curious if Zorin OS 6 had any sound effects at all. I started using Zorin when version 5.2 came out and I remember this version of Zorin having sounds.

I also checked the forum again and found the thread below:

This helped out a bit. At least, I have a login sound now; but I could not figure out how to setup a logout sound.

Once again, thank you for the help.

Hi,

from what I understand, you would have to create a script to achieve this:
