Having to reinstall win7

I have to reinstall win7 ,i have a GPS unit that needs updating and i think i can only do this via windows(wine does not work)
i have heard that its better to wipe hard drive first and then reinstall win first then Zorin
my question is what's the best way of saving all my data and all the updates

Hi,

copy all your data to an external drive, you need to tell us exactly what you have in mind as to a new Windows install as there are several scenarios!!.
