[Zorin OS 4 Core] No splash screen?

Hi, I love Zorin OS 4 Core, but I have one problem. When I boot up the OS I get no big Z as splash screen.. What I get is a bar at the bottom of my screen in three different colors (Blue, white and something else). The only time I get the big Z in bootup, is when I boot from the live CD.. Any way to fix this?

I'm from Norway and have to give you the answer through Google translator.

Start "Synaptic package manager" and search for the "Startupmanager" Install program. Then restart the program Startupmanager and select 24bit and closes the program.

Then start the Splash Screen Manager and select what you want. Start the computer and you will see the change.

I had the same issue after installing driver for my nvidia graphics card. I found the solution on the old Zorin forums. here is the link to the solution that worked for me::

just install "startup-manager" and set the resolutions bigger than 640 (here is set on 1280) and 24 bits. No terminal commands hell :P
Its a known bug. The resolutions are messed up.
