Hi Guys

Just been checking my system as it seems to be doing some strange things.

I have just found out through my Disk Utility that i have the following problem on my HDD, please see warning below:-

Can anyone advise me as to resolving this problem, without having to re-install the Os. Thanks.

1. Number of Drives in the PC

2. Whether this is dual boot

3. Is the utility being run from Windows?

One thing you could start doing is merging the two separate 2.1 Gb partitions so you have 4.2 Gb of Swap Area which is what you should really have in the first place. I also notice that the drive is PATA which suggests it is an old drive. (What is the hard drive utility that reported this misalignment?)

Thanks for the reply swarfendor437

1. 1 Sata HDD, 1 TB

2. Yes it is Dual Boot, Zorin 6.1 and Ubuntu 12.1

3. Utillity is beeing run from Zorin and not Windows

The Partition that is at fault is ex2 extended.

Be advised that this is a brand new drive only 4 weeks old if that of 1 TB

Item used to display the misalingned partition was as follows:
Went to Zorin, then system tools, then Prefrence and finaly Disk Utility. which displayed the earlier diagram sent.

I have not made any ajustments to the drive thusfar.
