Hi all, shut down my computer today to put a new powerstrip in place and now when i boot zorin into the zorin desktop my cpu pegs out and everything freezes. I can boot into classic gnome with no problems. when i look at the logs i see that it freezes up and stops logging everything after this entry

Code:
dbus[585]: [system] Successfully activated service 'com.ubuntu.SystemService'

it was running just fine prior to the shut down. i'm on a custom built machine with the following specifictions

1gb ram, AMD Athlon processor, ATI graphics board. running Zorin 6.0 core

When the computer freezes it always happens after AWN has finished loading up and all that is useable is my mouse. can't click on the gnomenu button if I manage to get a terminal open it stops responding too. any help would be appreciated as I like the look of the windows 7 zorin desktop/
