Skype on Z6Core

Just installed Zorin 6 Core on my laptop, full install, no other partitions. Love it.

Wanted to test Skype, so I downloaded the latest .deb from their website and installed. Worked great.

Except...

The button on the taskbar when Skype is minimized will show the menu for a second, then it will disappear, seemingly below the menu bar itself. Had to go into System Monitor to end the task.

Anyone else having this issue, and if so did you find a solution?

Nice quick answer! Thanks!

I'll try that next time I bring my laptop up. I had installed it by downloading the .deb and going through software center. I'll let you know.

Hi,

once the window is open, (the one with your contacts) just minimize it and it will stay on the left hand side of the bottom panel, I also have trouble with it on the right hand side in AWN so just do what I do and you'll be fine!!.

I don't know why it does what it does but if you do click on the icon on the right, you have to move the mouse a bit to open it!!.

Regards Wolfman :)
