Hi,

I am trying to install BURG boot loader.

It appears that the repo's missing !

"Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/bean123ch/burg ... ce/Sources 404 Not Found"
"Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/bean123ch/burg ... 4/Packages 404 Not Found"
"Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/bean123ch/burg ... 6/Packages 404 Not Found"

Help :/ I am not a newb, but I'm still learning.

when I run:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/burg && sudo apt-get update

I get:
W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/bean1... 404 Not Found

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/bean1... 404 Not Found

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/bean1... 404 Not Found

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Apparently burg has been DISCONTINUED .. any tools I can use to do similar graphical boot options with grub 2? hmm

Hi,

try changing your software download location and try the commands again!!.

See the part about software sources:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2247

I would first try fully updating with a new software download location if "Main" isn't working for you!.

Also, see parts 5 & 6 here:

err I mean it's not working. The repo's physically not there since Maverick. It's trying to find Precise but it's not there. I heard that if you use maverick INSTEAD itll work, but i don't know how to manually do it ...

If you go to http://ppa.launchpad.net/bean123ch/burg/ubuntu/dists/ you'll see the last distro was for maverick. Somehow, I need to grab the files needed for maverick instead of precise and it'll work. Can anyone tell me how to accomplish this? Thank you !

Hi,

it tells you here that you must change the name in the repo manager at points 5 & 6, did you do that??:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1251224/guid ... -12-04-lts

"12.04LTS

If you're using 12.04 then it's not going to show up in the repositories because there isn't one for Precise just yet, so we need to edit the software sources. Go to System->Update manager->Settings

edit those two super boot manager sources to look like that. Only the last word of each one needs changing from precise to oneiric. Then update your repos again:
