Hi, I have a ton of music on my computer, that is what I use it for mostly. I would like to listen to that music when on my patio this summer. I have Blue-tooth installed on my Zorin OS. I would like to get two Jam Blue-tooth speakers for that. My problem is I know nothing about Blue-tooth. I do not have anything that uses it, like a cell phone. All I know is I must be within 30 feet, and have it next to the computer for it to find it. Does anyone have a tutorial for Zorin and Blue-tooth? Any additional software I might need? Any suggestions? Anyone using Blue-tooth with Zorin? Any help/ knowledge/experience would be appreciated.

I bought the Jam wireless speaker but it did not come with a Bluetooth usb dongle. I purchased the Cirago 3.0 BTA6310 as it said in the description it supported Linux. It is also small, about the size of your thumbnail. I then installed the Bluetooth software from the Ubuntu repository. When I plugged the dongle in Zorin immediately found it. After that was just find and connect the new device which was not a problem. Then enter the pass code that Jam supplied and all worked.
I guess my only disappointment was I bought two Jam wireless speakers. You can only run one speaker off of one dongle. I am not sure if you could add another dongle and then add the second speaker or not, will do some research. I use Clementine and again, it was very easy, Linux and Zorin had all the drivers I needed and it works great.

Yes it is solved. I went to the manufacturers site and you can run two, but they have to be the Jam Plus. In other words I bought the wrong product for what I want to do. I will keep one and take one back. HDMX also makes a boom box type speaker (out of stock right now) that runs for 12 hours on a charge, while the Jam and Jam Plus speakers last for 4 hours. They also make a Rugged Jam speaker for more outdoor use. Not sure what I will do yet, but will probably upgrade after a while. Sticking with the one speaker for now.
The big thing if anyone else is interested is how well the Cirago 3.0 BTA6310 Bluetooth USB dongle worked on a Linux based system.
