Tried to install Yakuake and got the following:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

Depends: libkdeui5 (>= 4:4.4.0) but 4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.1 is to be installed
Depends: libkio5 (>= 4:4.3.4) but 4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.1 is to be installed
Depends: libkparts4 (>= 4:4.3.4) but 4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.1 is to be installed
Depends: libqt4-dbus (>= 4:4.5.3) but 4:4.8.1-0ubuntu4.4 is to be installed
Depends: libqtcore4 (>= 4:4.7.0~beta1) but 4:4.8.1-0ubuntu4.4 is to be installed
Depends: libqtgui4 (>= 4:4.5.3) but 4:4.8.1-0ubuntu4.4 is to be installed

Depends: konsole (>= 4:4.3.0) but 4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.1 is to be installed

It's in the repository! WHY would this happen?

Hi,

go here:

http://pkgs.org/search/?keyword=yakuake+deb

and click on Ubuntu 12.04 and select the 32 Bit package, download it and install with "Gdebi". If you don't have "gdebi" installed, paste the following in a Termnal:

sudo apt-get install gdebi

Try also changing your software download sources and then update and try installing via Synaptic:

Let us know if this helps.
