Hi guys, i'm using Zorin Ultimate 6, and I noticed that icon on the Root folder on Nautilus. What got my attention was a copy of a theme to the usr/share/theme's folder and one of the themes folder got the red icon!! Then I went for a search and find out that root folder also got that icon and the Lost+Fond folder on / also have it!! I'm new to Linux world so can someone "teach me" what that icon means?

Thanks
P.S. English is not my first language, so sorry for the mistakes.

OK, thanks, that's it. I thought I was getting some kind of a problem with the file system... Did I mention I'm new to Linux :)

thanks

Hi,

if you right click any file or folder and go to permissions, it will tell you exactly what you as the normal user can do, if it states that root is the owner, then you will have to do the command Swarf posted to make yourself root to make any changes!!. (Alt + F2 then type > gksudo nautilus ).
