curious if maybe some of yall can help me out, considering im still learning on unix and wish to stay with it >.<

so, i got the network all running, and the os is great, but im encountering a new issue. I tryin to get swgemu running, i got all installed with wine / winetricks dotnet2.0 fonts etc that was req for me to run swgemu. I get in and once i enter "big" map area i get major gfx glitches.. like shards of certain colors all over the screen and as i move they kinda move in a kaleidoscopic motion, untill i stand still and its fine. all settings in game would be on the lowest. When i had my windows machine it was running with no problems.

I'm thinking it was gona be the video card drivers? im using directx9 for it. i heard i should update the drivers but unsure of which i should get.. i did a lspci and these are the gfx things i see... i think its the right command to check...

To install Mono via a terminal:

Hi,

I have found a download page for Intel drivers but you may find the same drivers are already installed, look down the page for the "Intel Linux Graphics Installer" and select the correct package for your Ubuntu based system, use "gdebi" to install it, I cannot say whether this will help you at all:

https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads

If you don't have "gdebi" installed, gdebi is a single deb (Debian) package installer!.

sudo apt-get install gdebi

You can also check out this page but I don't have an Intel chip in either of my PC's sorry!!.

Did you check that your game is fully supported with Linux?:

Let us know if this helps.

Also don't forget that you are trying to make something work via wine. Wine is not an emulator. It is not guaranteed that the software will work.
