Thanks for the replies. That link requires me to select which Ubuntu I am using. So can anyone tell me what Ubuntu Zorin is built on?

Hi,

I think Swarf's comment about your current OS is directed to the pic posted by Datek1 who is using Zorin 7, you are I believe using Zorin 6.

To check what version you have, open System Settings > System > Details > Overview and it will show you what system you have!!.

This is my current running OS, I have 4 others btw!!:

Hi,

because you changed the theme and icons, your OS shows itself as U12.04, if you choose the Zorin OS icons and themes, it will show as Zorin!!.

Did you install Zorin OS 6 or Ubuntu?.

If you installed Zorin Os and you want to see the Zorin logo, you need to leave the icons set to Zorin OS in Ubuntu tweak themes settings, if you installed an Ubuntu system, you will need to add the Zorin OS PPA to your repo lists!!.

...and as to the question whether I should install the latest Ultimate.?

Hi,

paste this command in a terminal.

cat /etc/lsb-release

and it will show you the distro ID.

I believe the logo was updated from Zorin to Ubuntu after an update was performed. If you want to fix it, see this link:

Zorin after all is based on Ubuntu 12.04.
