Having played around with desktop themes I now am experiencing that each time I click on an application be it a browser, thunderbird, kazam etc, I end up with a blank screen as in the attached screenshots. The first screenshot shows what I get on the first click. When I click a second time I get the what should be displaying.
I appreciate your feedback.

Hello, I did the fix for Zorin 6. The only indication I have that my distro is version 6 and not 7 is that it did not accept my version 7 keyring. Is there anyother way to confirm this? I think it is a bit early to say it fixed the problem, but good so far. And a big thank you.

A quick question. I am using the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M 1GB GDDR3. I am currently using the recommended driver. Can you adivse on which one optimizes my hardware?

if you installed via the PPA I posted in the Nvidia link above; you are good to go!!.

I am supposing by the PPA you mean software center. I installed zorin ISO via your repositories to USB key live.

Hi,
yes I meant the drivers from the Nvidia PPA, you have Zorin 6 installed not Zorin 7, Z6 is based on Ubuntu 12.04 and Z7 on U13.04.
