I'm having a problem in the login screen. After entering the password, it shows the message "Logging in...", but after waiting a lot it never happens. On the other hand, I am able to log in after some reboots. Is there a way to fix it?

Hi,

see the update guide and run "Dpkg" with a network cable per the guide:

It may solve the problem for you!!.

1. Which version of Zorin is causing the issue?

2. Is this a Notebook or a Desktop?

3. Had you installed anything or changed any user settings before the issue started?

1. Zorin 6 Core
2. Notebook
3. The first time happened after I changed my grub in order to adjust a brightness problem

Not yet. I dual boot Zorin with WIndows 7 and I'm afraid it can harm my computer. Are there any risks in updating software?

Hi,

there are always risks in computing but Linux is 99% safer than Windoze!!.

Follow my guide and you should be okay!.

I updated everything from the terminal and now system works fine, although Zorin OS 6 Core turned "magically" into Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Thanks for everything!

Hi,

if you open the Tweak Tool, you can change the themes and fonts with that, better still; install Ubuntu Tweak, see the guide:

I will mark this as solved unless you have other problems.
