hello i am new to linux. i have had ubuntu which gave a error. then mint which i thought was good but i reverted back to windows. now i have zorin and i ran into a problem here it is the power buttons like standby,restart and shutdown isnt there sice across my screen right above the taskbar theres a black bar and it wont go away is there a way to fix this im os 7 and dual booted with xp. would resoluton fix the problem and how do i do that

did you do a full system update?:

Have you checked the post install guide too?, there is a section about the AWN panel near the bottom about resetting icons etc!:

Have you installed the graphics card drivers for your PC?, there is also info about that in the guide!.
