Hi,

you need to give more details about your PC please!!.

Did you use a disk to do the install, if so, please read this advisory:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4771

I suspect that to be the reason why you are having those messages!!.

If you can, reburn a new disk at the slowest speed or use a USB stick:

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Let us know if you have more details!.

hi,

you still haven't told us if you tried a disk install or not!!.

If you simply want to flatten Mint, use the "Something else method" shown here and format both root and home partitions:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4848

You need to tell us how you are trying to install, disk or USB stick!.

Okay, did you do as this advisory suggests?:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4771

Or did you burn the disk at the fastest speed available??. If you did, you can throw the other disk away and reburn a new one at the "Slowest Possible Speed"!!!.

The symptoms you describe are typical of a "Bad Burn"!!!!.

Hi,

try inserting the disk and as soon as you see the main boot menu, press the "Tab" key (beside the "q" key with the opposing arrows on the left of your keyboard) and type "noapic" and press enter again, this should prevent a block on the kernel.

If you still have problems, download a new ISO from a different location and burn a new disk and do as Swarf suggested by checking the md5sum.

Here is some further info for you but it addresses the Ubuntu (Zorin is Ubuntu based) main boot menu (Grub).

Hi,

if you are still having a problem with a disk install, have you tried using a USB stick??:

http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

If as you say you burned the disk at the slowest possible speed, it may be a problem with the disks you are using or maybe the DVD drive?, have you used a disk drive cleaner to clean the lens on the DVD drive?.

Let us know what happens.

Your next response on this forum "Hint Hint " should be rather long and in great detail from the time you first installed Zorin OS to present date. Everything you have done to Zorin OS : Example >>> Themes > Settings > anything that can help these guys help you and be done with it.
