(SOLVED) How to activate touch pad scroll

Hi,

First of, great UI. This is the best version of linux I have used so far.
I have an issue of the touch pad not allowing me to scroll. I have a Toshiba Satellite L305 - S5919 ( don't really know if this matters ).
I checked the system settings and the 2 finger scroll option is ticked. In windows I use one finger to scroll. What can I do to fix this?

Sorry I found some half - @ss fix for it by going through the software manager and downloading " pointing devices ". Installed it onto the comp and wala it worked. Thank you for your time anyway.
