zorin start menu bug

Hi all, Zorin 6 worked fine for about two days. I tried upgrading it to the newest release but don't know how. So I installed all updates (over 600) and rebooted. Now the start menu won't open but shows a frowny face that tells me to click to restart it, which just crashes again. I logged into the gnome session which doesn't let me open anything.

So my question is, How do I upgrade to the newest release so it will work without having to reinstall using a cd or dvd?

Hi,

see the post install guide and the section about Avant Window Navigator (AWN) for problems with the sad smiley face and other tips:

To upgrade to the next higher version version of Zorin you must use a DVD/USB installer but you can keep your data intact, the downside is that you must install all your apps again:
