'seeing' files on the old windows filesystem

I'm very new to this..... <grin>

I have an original win xp install, and Zorin in its own partition on the same disk.

Some applications (e.g gimp and libre office) seem to be able to access files within the windows filesystem,
but others (like Scribus) don't seem to be able to see 'outside' the Zorin file-system.

Am I missing something ? Is there a way to make the old 'windows' filesystem accessible to new Zorin programs ?

Thanks in advance
Adrian

Hi,

normally you can mount the Windows drives and you should be able to access them by pointing your apps to the correct place, open your home folder (Nautilus) and see if the drives are mounting at boot, they are on the left of the main window:

Check using Dconf Editor:

Stop/Start Media Auto Mounting:
Dconf Editor > Org > Gnome > Desktop > Media-Handling > Automount/Automount-open/Autorun Never
