[SOLVED] Adjust speed of trackball/scrollwheel

Hi again, I have a new trackball mouse, which so far I am loving it, except that the trackball is too sensitive and too fast. I have a medical condition that makes my hands shake and it takes a couple of tries to hit a small target. Also the scroll wheel is just a little too slow, this is no big deal but I would like to adjust it if it's not that difficult. I have spent about five hours in all searching Google and Linux/Ubuntu forums, and trying different things. So far I have tried xinput, something similar I don't remember right now, xorg.conf, x-set. I've downloaded dconf editor (which was blank by the way, it opened and there was a list of categories but none would expand), downloaded gpointing-device-settings which I found thanks to wolfman on here, but it only affected the scroll wheel and only a little there. I saw something posted somewhere about the xinput output should show the speed/acceleration figures as "2/12", but I accidentally closed the tab and now I can't find it.
So is there any hope of getting these values changed?

Hi,

install "xinput" if not already installed:

http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/pre ... put.1.html

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SynapticsTouchpad

I have have never used it so I can't really be of any more help.

Regards Wolfman :D

Yea, I figured that, but clicking on them did nothing, they would not expand. But, after uninstalling and reinstalling it works correctly.

Call it solved, me thinks it's as good as it's gonna git.
