Netflix Problem with Zorin OS 7 Ultimate

Hi gang,

I have been trying to get Netflix to work but so far I am not successful.
I used the sticky and followed the directions, opened a terminal and wrote the three lines of code. It looked as though everything was accepted at that point.

I searched the menus, but did not find a Netflix option. I went to Netflix using Google Chrome and Firefox with the same result: the choice does not play and I am directed to the Netflix recommended operating system menu. I'm thinking I need to go to Netflix via Zorin, but as I said I can't find the place on the Zorin menu. Can anyone tell me what "Unity Dash" is? That was mentioned somewhere. My setup on this computer is a dual-boot with Windows 7, so I can get Netflix by going to Windows 7, but my other computer is only 250 GB HD and it is using Zorin fully, no dual boot. I really want to get Netflix to run on that unit. Thanks.

Linx,

Thank you! This worked for me! Now I'm enjoying Netflix using Zorin OS 8 Educational.

This was my very first experience at using "Command Line" ... so it took me a little time to figure out; "Why isn't this thing letting me enter my password? I mean my keyboard isn't working at all!?" Then I FINALLY figured out ... it IS letting me enter my password, it just isn't showing up on screen (security feature) ... (head slap!) OH DUH!

I also used this YouTube video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tfte5su5DIA It goes over all of the same steps in the link Linx suggested.

Have a great day everyone!
