Building a new system

Hello again

I recently bought an MSI Z87-GD65 MOBO to build a fresh machine in a thermaltake level 10 gt case.

I love the Zorin OS7 ULTIMATE 32 bit, but would it be better to use the 64 bit os to install with the above board.

This board will allow 32 gigs of DDR3 RAM

Any advice

Thanks

Snowy

I can't remember if 7 (based on Ubuntu 13.04) came with a 32-bit PAE kernel - don't forget support for this ends at the end of January 2014 so you might want to consider LTS (6.0) 64-bit for now and see what Zorin 8 has to offer! ;)

In the meantime, some useful information here:

(Scroll down past the bit that says it is closed as not a proper question as someone has given an answer!)

PAE will only allow for up to 16GB of RAM to be used, and everything past the first 4GB will be much slower it will not be like accessing normal memory.

I would suggest getting the 64 bit Zorin 7. Otherwise your going to basically take a hardware hit.
