Zorin reinstall error (USB live disk)

Hi

Im using Zorin 6 on my Acer Aspire S3 now, and need to install Zorin 7. The reason why, is that my "home" directory is on my SSD = no space left + periodic crashes.

When booting from a live USB drive, nothing happens - it just stops after showing the Black/White Acer logo.

I remember I did a setting some weeks ago via terminal, so that I would not see the screen where you can choose between starting linux or windows.

Any suggestings to how I can get the live USB to work?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

can you provide us with a few details about your PC, what are its system specs, might be that Zorin 7 is too heavy for it?, check out the hardware requirements here:

What size is your hard drive?.

Does it have UEFI?, have you checked that UEFI is switched off in BIOS?:

You can try using "Boot Repair" if you suspect that your current GRUB menu is defect:

Did you do a clean format of the USB drive to FAT32 before you created your bootable drive?.

To install Zorin 7 over Zorin 6 and keep your data inatct, see:
