Hi,

first you need to check to see if there are additional drivers available, for Zorin 7 > Synaptic > Settings > Repositories > Software & Updates > Addtional Drivers.

For Zorin 6 > System Settings > Hardware > Additional Drivers.

You must update your system fully after installing any drivers!.

I think Zorin 7 uses 1.4, or possibly 1.5 - if you have 'ultimate' it will be present - not sure if it is present in core.
There should be an 'about' wine link somewhere which should tell you the version.

What Wolfman meant was that after you install the drivers, update the system:

Code:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Yes you can.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install wine1.7

(or 1.6 or 1.5).

Just to say that I would not advise attempting to upgrade to wine 1.7 in Zorin 6 - I tried that and lost my Zorin DE! ;)

Before you spend your hard earned pennies on Ultimate 7 - bear in mind support for this ends in January 2014 in line with Ubuntu 13.04 on which it is based - wait for Zorin 8 to come out! :D Glad you are now sorted by the way - will mark as [SOLVED] and another 60 blue jewels to madvinegar! :D
