pointer opens files when hovering over icon

When i hover over and icon or a link for a few seconds the link or file opens without me clicking on it and i don't know what i changed to make this happen or how to correct it.

Hi,

it doesn't sound like normal behaviour so run "DPKG" per this guide and see if it fixes the problem:

A WORKING NETWORK CABLE CONNECTION IS REQUIRED FOR THE ABOVE TO WORK!!.

Restart your PC fully after running updates!.
