My system update just told me that there is a new version of Ubuntu available. Should I update to it yet.

No! - if you do it will create a hybrid 'buntu/zorin desktop environment! Go to your Update Manager and make sure that 'Update to latest version of Ubuntu is set to 'Never' - what version of Zorin do you have installed?
