Recent convert to Zorin linux. I was wondering if there was a way to change the way icons and folders can be changed to "file view" used in Windows. I do not care for full size icon views. Thank you.

Hi,

you can use the settings in Dcof Editor, there are a couple of options for you to try, an example below:

Dconf Editor > Org > Gnome > Nautilus > Icon-View > Default-Zoom-Level = Small
dconf Editor_001.jpg

There are settings in the home folder also but I am not quite sure what you want, check out "Home" > File > "Preferences" and make your changes there:
Files Preferences_002.jpg

Hope it helps.

There is usually a button on the 'nautilus' window to change to 'details/list' view from icons from recollection.

Thanks, the button in Nautilaus worked, downside is it does not stay that way after closing the window.

DConf Editor worked and keeps the files in "list-View" thanks for the help.
