Hey,
I am looking to install Zorin-OS on my PC, but I need to use ANSYS. Has anyone else done this before? I know that ANSYS support RedHat and SUSE, but there is no mention of Zorin-OS.
If anyone has any experience of this can you let me know
Cheers

Hi,
on page 8 of their guide, I found this:
http://www.ansys.com/staticassets/ANSYS ... ummary.pdfANSYS does not support other “compatible” Linux distributions•
Fedora, Scientific Linux,
Debian, Ubuntu, Oracle LINUX, etc.
●
We can not sustain certification and technical support of multiple Linux distributions
●
Stability issues have been encountered on some open source Linux
●
We will only provide support on issues that can be reproduced on our certified
RedHat and Novell Linux releasesThe only way you might do it is to download and convert the RPM package using Alien!.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RPM/AlienHowtoHope it helps.

Can it be installed in Ubuntu?
I think that it is just not supported by the ANSYS company in case you run into any short of problems when using it in ubuntu. And by that I think they mean "technical support".
