Zorin Lite 7.1 network problems

Hello,

I use Zorin lite 6.2 lite on my laptop, desktop and netbook without any problems.
Today I downloaded 7.1 Lite and ran it from a USB stick. Everything seemed to
work perfectly, but when I tried to connect to my other computers and internet harddisk,
I was confronted with the next problem.

With Filemanager, optio Go -> Netwerk drives I found my seagate harddisk and Windows Network.
When clicking on either of them I got the Error message 'The specified location is not mounted'.

I downloaded Gnome Commander (my favourite file manager), and got also an error message,
suggesting that the MSB module was not installed. I downloaded and installed smb modules
via Synaptics, but with no success.

Internet itself works fine.

Using my internet drives directly from the USB stick worked fine with versions 6.2 and earlier.
I downloaded Zorin 7.1 Lite twice and the md5sum is correct.

Can you please help me? Thanks!

As Lite is based on Lubuntu try here:

Better still, wait for Wolfman to answer for you! :D

Hi,

check out the Zorin Lite post install guide:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4835

Look at the section covering "Accessing sub folders in "File Manager" (your home folder):"

Hope it helps.
