Long Term Support for Zorin OS 6.2/7.1 Lite?

"Free versions of Zorin OS Download" [zorin-os.com/free.html] page, you can select either "Zorin OS 7" or "Zorin OS 6 (LTS)". By choosing "Zorin OS 6 (LTS)" [zorin-os.com/free6.html] page it lists "Zorin OS 6.2 Lite" and "Zorin OS 6 Educational Lite".

"Zorin OS 6.1 Core is released" page only mentions Long Term Support [LTS] for "Zorin OS 6.1 Core" followed by the comment: "Users who already have Zorin OS 6 Core installed do not need to get Zorin OS 6.1 Core as all the aforementioned updates and improvements in 6.1 can be applied by installing the latest updates from the Update Manager." [source - zoringroup.com/blog/2012/11/07/zorin-os-6-1-core-is-released].

My question is does "Lite" have LTS and will it be 'updated' to latest builds via "Update Manager" or only "Zore OS 6.x Core"?

I downloaded "Zorin OS 6.2 Lite" (zorin-os-6.2-lite.iso) using above mentioned link and according to "Chromium Web Browser" in 'About Chromium' I am running "Zorin OS 6.1". Why isn't it version 6.2 or based on current Zorin OS 6.4 build? will it be 'upgraded' to 6.4?

"Update Manager" downloaded 200 or more 'updates' and failed installing, tripping up on "Adobe Flash Player" to be downloaded separately from "Update Manager". It allowed "Partial Upgrade" completed successfully, but why does it still say in "Chromium Web Browser" it is "Zorin OS 6.1" not a newer build 6.2 or 6.4? Now "Update Manager" reports "There are no new updates to install" for last two days?

With "Zorin OS 7.1 Lite" how long is it supported for? months or years?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi Wolfenstein, Lite is based on Lubuntu which usually only has about 18 months max support - if you are wanting LTS of something Lite you might want to look at LXLE (http://lxle.net)

There are some discussions that Lubuntu 14.04 may be LTS. So if Zorin Lite 9 will be based on Lubuntu 14.04... then Zorin Lite 9 will be LTS...!

That's right, I do appreciate your help as those websites are useful to me.

I found page about LTS -
