Hi everybody,

I've noticed that every window drops behind the AWN bar at the bottom, see screenshot. How can I avoid this?
Many thanks!

Hi nomko,

try dconf-editor:

dconf-editor > org > gnome > nautilus > window-state

or simply open settings for awn and set Autohide to keep below. And set behavior to window dodge.

Hi bilfriis, plus one on that. dconf has its place but reminds me too much of the Windows Registry - ordinary users just want a 'control panel'! :D

Just right click on the awn in a place with no icons. Then click on settings.

Just right click on the awn in a place with no icons. Then click on settings.

I have 5 tabs:
- preferences
- taskmanager
- applets
- themes
- advanced

Neither of these tabs shows the Autohide option...

I tried that but that lets my taskbar/menubar disappear. But i want the taskbar/menubar to stay and don't allow any window to go behind it as show in my screenshot.

Thanks again.

Hi,

if you didn't play around with the settings in Dconf Editor per my earlier suggestion, you might want to look here:

I have no other suggestions sorry!.
