Hi!

I apologise if this is a common question but am not sure how to go about sarching for an accurate answer to this.

What exactly is the lifecycle of a RC please? If i had to install OS 8 RC would i be able to get continue to get updates for the lifespan of the release? Im just curious as to if i would be able to keep the same install until the OS 9 came out for example?

Thanks for any help with this!

Having read elsewhere that you can update to 8 there should not be an issue from 8 RC to 8 - I am not sure with regards to 9 as this may likely require a fresh install.

Thanks!

This is relief as i really love this OS, and am planning on staying with 8, and then moving onto 9 for the LTS :)

Nice one!

Hi,

you can update any version of Zorin to the next highest level using the "Something Else Method":

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4848

If you install an "Alpha or Beta" version, I advise you to install the full "Final" rather than rely on updates to the Aplha or Beta versions!.
