Hi there.
I'm a newbie in Linux...
I'm trying to have a zorin system on an old pc and it works great for my purposes except for one thing. After some time running everytime i click with the left mouse button i get the "hand" to drag the window. That should only happen in the top bar but it doesn't mather where in the window i click. I have to hold "shift" down in order to click...

Any clue why this happens?

My pc:
Memory: 2Gb
Processor: intel core 2 cpu 6400 @ 2.13Ghz x2
Graphics: ATI RV530
32bit system
155GB disk

Many thanks!
cheers

Hi,

did you create any special key functions or make any changes to shortcuts etc?.

Paste the following terminal command and then restart after updating your system:

Code:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -f

A simple full system update might solve the problem!.

Hi Wolfman,
I did a clean install and full update. Haven't configured or created anything :)
After rebooting it works fine but a couple of clicks later the dragging "hand" appears...
Will try your command now ;)
Thanks!

Hi,

has your mouse been dropped or anything like that?, I have the same problem with a mouse I used on my notebok, after dropping it once too often, it seems to have a mind of its own!.

Did you try the command?.

lol, no... the mouse is fine ;)
Tried your command but the problem remains.
It actually goes away after a few random hits on shift and alt keys...
Maybe it will go away permanently after some updates
thanks for you help mate!
