Fonts problems?

Hi to all,
please see the attached picture. The circle and the mouse arrow show the font defect I'm talking about.
At the moment I saw it on Firefox and the defect seems to happen just on text, not on images.

The defect disappears temporarely when scrolling the page, possibly scrolling until the defective word disappears on the screen, then scrolling back to make that word appear back. However, in case the defect may temporarely disappear on such word, it may happen in some other words. Actually, I see some words of this post flickering while typing.

Could you help me solving the problem?

PD: I am running Zorin 8, the problem did not exist on Zorin 7

The defective letter in the screenshot is a "c". It should have been "a casa" while you just can see "a asa"

The problem exists on Thunderbird too. I'm going to check whether it exists on LibreOffice too.
Meanwhile, do you have any idea?

EDIT: the problem persists also on pop-up windows not related to Firefox (I'm referring to "Nautilus-Actions Configuration Tool" popup window). So, it seems a problem related to Zorin 8, not to some specific software.

Hi again, Had a response from the team - they have not encountered this issue before but suggest you change the system font from Roboto to a Font of your choice - I have gone with Arial and things appear to be OK:

To get to Tweak Tool - Menu | System Tools | Preferences - you need to scroll down the menu to see Tweak Tool.

I wasn't sure as having looked up the specs of your notebook I could not find that information. Have you tried changing the fonts in TweakTool?

Writing from a fresh install: the problem persists also after changing the font to Sans

I changed to Arial - no issues here now.
