I use Transmegaddon to convert MP4 files to AVI so i can play them on my tv and i have about 99% rate
now i have a MKV file and have used same settings and when i put drive onto tv it tells me there is a avi there but cant read it ,this has hapened a lot with converting from MKV to avi
any help with it
dont understand terminal commands
when i use my converter in WIN7 it does it with no issues
but i want to use ZORIN

First off I would try winff - it is in the repositories - just search for it in synaptic (Menu | System Tools | Administration | Synaptic Package Manager). You will be asked for your user password before synaptic will launch.

I have used WinFF on this file and it transcodes it but the sound s all out of synk
WINN FF is great software for mp4 to avi , but not MKV/AVI
