Google Chrome not loading

I have installed Zorin 8 on a Dell 760 desktop computer (80gb HD, 2gbRAM) and when I try to lauch Google Chrome it never does launch.

Also the item in the lower right corner of the screen never populate like they have done on the other computers I have installed Zorin 8 on.

Since this is my first attempt into Zorin I am at a loss for correcting this.

I am wondering if it is a 'graphics' issue - does the Desktop use 'onboard' graphics (part of motherboard as opposed to separate graphics card)?

I have the same issue. Network is connected but some key apps do not work. Live disk works fine. 32bit version worked just fine
