Zorin 8 starts at full volume

Zorin 8 now starts on max volume after turning down the volume before and after each shut down / power on. Pandora does not start on the last station used as it normally did. Anyone know why this is? Zorin 8 is also sending errors at some startups.

Hi, have you tried running the usual commands in this order from a terminal? (Menu | Accessories | Terminal or Ctrl+ Alt+ T).

Code:: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

then

Code:: sudo dpkg --configure -a

In that case, please take a look here at Wolfman's post install guide and scroll to the audio (Sound) section, see if things improve with that:
